Eglin Afb Fam Camp - From Interstate 10: Crestview exit. Highway 85 south to Niceville. West (right) on John Sims Parkway (SR20) to the East Gate of Eglin AFB. From the East Gate, go straight onto Eglin Blvd. past the hangers, turn left onto the Memorial Trail, follow the signs for the exchange/biro de change. Famcamp enters on the left before the stock exchange/commissioner. Check-in office at Camp Robbins. -- From Highway I8: at Ft. Walton Beach, north of Eglin Parkway to west gate of Eglin AFB. About a mile outside the gate, turn right onto John Sims Pkwy / Eglin Blvd. (highway 397). Turn right onto Chinquapin Dr. Turn left onto Memorial Trail as if going to work. The FamCamp sign is on the right behind the exchange office. Check-in office at Camp Robbi

Clean bathroom with decent shower. $1.50 for each washing machine. Dirt/asphalt roads, your equipment and gear will be muddy or sandy. Great staff, close to the exchange office and exchange. Fun thing to do in the base. Department of Defense ID required to enter!

The third trip from Northeast Mississippi to Camp Robbins is drawing to a close. The first trip was on the "I've seen better days" pop-up. I like it a lot, even though the pop-up window appears on departure. The next trip was in the nicer Coachman from the late 70s and 30s. Now we're back with the 27" Jayco Jay 2018…
